Labs and Simulation Spaces
Chemical Lab
A process-oriented space where students work with unit operations such as evaporation, drying, and pilot-plant scale equipment to simulate industrial chemical manufacturing.
Cisco Network & Hardware Lab
The Cisco Network & Hardware Lab gives students hands-on experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting real-world networks. Using industry-standard Cisco equipment, students learn how hardware, routing, switching, and security work together to keep systems connected and secure. This applied learning environment helps students develop practical skills that mirror today's IT and networking workplaces.
Clean and Renewable Energy Lab
The Clean and Renewable Energy Lab at Mohawk College’s Fennell Campus provides students with hands-on experience in sustainable energy technologies and energy management systems. Equipped with industry-relevant tools and equipment, the lab supports learning in solar power, energy generation, storage, distribution, and smart energy systems. As part of Mohawk’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, the lab helps students develop the practical skills needed to design, operate, and maintain clean energy solutions for a rapidly evolving industry.
Climate Change Management
Associated with the School of Climate Action, this space is used for modeling carbon footprints, studying sustainability concepts, and developing mitigation strategies using environmental data.
Collaboratory
The Collaboratory is a flexible study and research space offering in person research support, bookable media tables and access to printing, copying and scanning. Students can use express PCs for quick tasks or work at any of the 33 computers available for coursework and collaboration.
Cyber Security Learning Lab 1
A dedicated, air-gapped network environment. It allows students to simulate offensive and defensive "Red Team/Blue Team" scenarios, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments without risking external networks.
Cyber Security Learning Lab 2
A dedicated, air-gapped network environment. It allows students to simulate offensive and defensive "Red Team/Blue Team" scenarios, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments without risking external networks.
Dell Specialty Lab
Digital Creativity Centre
The Digital Creativity Centre (DCC), located in Room EA105 at the Fennell Campus, is a vibrant collaboration centre that provides access to bookable project rooms, technology, flexible spaces, and drop-in tech support.
