Labs and Simulation Spaces
Law Enforcement Simulation Lab
The Dynamic Tactical Simulation Lab is an immersive learning environment where students develop ethical reasoning, investigative judgment, and evidence-based decision-making through realistic policing scenarios. Using intelligence-led policing simulations, students practice crime scene management, suspect detection and apprehension, and effective evidence gathering, while strengthening problem-solving, communication, and team-based skills essential to professional law enforcement practice.
Massage Therapy Clinic
The Clinic in R101 provides opportunity for Professionals in Training to gain hands-on skills in our Massage Therapy teaching centre. Students are supervised by Registered Massage Therapists as they provide safe and effective treatments to their clients.
Materials Development & Characterization Lab
The Materials Development and Characterization Lab provides students with hands-on experience analyzing and testing material properties. The lab supports learning in material selection, development, and performance evaluation using industry-standard equipment. Through applied experiments and data analysis, students build practical skills in quality control, research, and materials innovation.

Mock Courtroom
Room C230, also known as the Mock Courtroom, provides a realistic environment for students in our Paralegal program to develop their advocacy and procedural skills. It is used for simulated hearings, mock trials, and oral advocacy exercises. This space also supports demonstrations and experiential learning activities that help students apply legal theory to real-world scenarios. This space is also utilized by students in the Police Foundations program.
Nutrition Lab
This is a hands-on teaching lab where students in health-related programs explore and apply nutrition principles in real-world contexts. In this space, learners engage with food science, dietary analysis, nutrient evaluation, and other practical aspects of nutrition to deepen their understanding beyond the classroom. By working with tools, resources, and guided instruction, students build skills in assessing nutritional content, applying diet-related knowledge, and connecting theory to practice as part of their experiential learning experience.
Organic Chemistry Lab
Used mainly by Biotechnology students, featuring equipment for organic synthesis and purification along with new digital microscopes for advanced analytical work.
Partnering Studio
Linked to IDEAWORKS, this is a collaborative "Capstone" space. Students from different programs work together on real-world prototypes and applied research projects for local industry partners.
