This immersive learning environment replicates the structure and operations of a real-world emergency management centre, providing students with hands-on experience in incident response, crisis coordination, and strategic decision-making.
Fitness Lab
Room C143 is a dedicated academic fitness lab designed to support hands-on learning, standardized testing, and applied training. This dynamic space mirrors professional fitness and assessment environments, allowing students to train and evaluate performance in a structured, safe, and supportive setting. Used by students in our Justice programs for standardized physical testing and occupational readiness training, the lab also serves learners in the Health, Wellness and Fitness program.
Law Enforcement Simulation Lab
The Dynamic Tactical Simulation Lab is an immersive learning environment where students develop ethical reasoning, investigative judgment, and evidence-based decision-making through realistic policing scenarios. Using intelligence-led policing simulations, students practice crime scene management, suspect detection and apprehension, and effective evidence gathering, while strengthening problem-solving, communication, and team-based skills essential to professional law enforcement practice.
Mock Courtroom
Room C230, also known as the Mock Courtroom, provides a realistic environment for students in our Paralegal program to develop their advocacy and procedural skills. It is used for simulated hearings, mock trials, and oral advocacy exercises. This space also supports demonstrations and experiential learning activities that help students apply legal theory to real-world scenarios. This space is also utilized by students in the Police Foundations program.
Social Justice Gym
This gymnasium is a specialized learning space reserved exclusively for Social Justice programs, supporting hands-on, movement-based training tied to the curriculum. It is used for physical conditioning, self-defence, scenario-based exercises, and team-building activities that help students develop confidence, situational awareness and practical skills relevant to their field. The space reinforces experiential learning by allowing students to apply theory in a controlled, supportive environment.
Use of Force Lab
The Use of Force Lab is a controlled, hands-on training space where students develop practical skills related to safety, control and appropriate response techniques. Through guided, scenario-based learning, students practice physical tactics, communication and decision-making in situations that reflect real-world challenges. The lab supports experiential learning by emphasizing professionalism, risk assessment and the responsible application of force within a structured and supervised environment.
