Please note, it is the responsibility of the student to apply for and submit a study permit prior to the Study Permit deadline for each application term. Please be sure to review the study permit deadline for the term you have a program application for. After this date, offers and acceptances will be revoked.
To begin a post-secondary program at Mohawk College, protected persons or convention refugees, you must provide either a valid Study Permit or Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR).
This requirement is set by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and is not determined by the College.
We will require one of the documents previously stated prior to releasing the hold, an application will not suffice as mandated by the IRCC.
There is currently a Registration Hold on your account. This hold will prevent you from registering for a timetable and will only be released once a valid study permit or COPR is submitted and approved.

The processing time for an LOA is 5-7 business days.
