I am a proud Mohawk College graduate from the Early Childhood Education program. After graduating, I spent 18 years working with families and children in the field of ECE.
I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Disability Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University and am on the dean’s honour roll.
I have been teaching at Mohawk College for 18 years in Early Childhood Education, Career Pathways, Community Integration through Cooperative Education, Dual credit, City School, and Apprenticeship programs.
I was the co-founder and co-chair of a registered Canadian charity in Hamilton that supports families with children with disabilities. For my volunteer work in Hamilton, I received the Order of Hamilton Award. Previously, I received a Provincial award from the Council for Exceptional Children for my work advocating for children with special needs and their families.
