Current Opportunities
GuardMe Ambassador
The GuardMe Ambassador Program is a volunteer opportunity designed for self-starters who enjoy connecting with others and want to gain valuable experience while making a difference. As part of this program, you’ll participate in campus events, host information booths, promote mental health awareness, and collaborate to support engagement activities. Ambassadors benefit from developing transferable skills in event planning, public speaking, and leadership, while networking with students across Canada. The program also offers opportunities for professional development through summits and roundtables, formal recognition such as certificates and job references, and the chance to attend a two-day Annual Leadership Retreat.
Goin' Ambassador
Goin' is a social media platform designed exclusively for international students to have the unique opportunity to connect with future and current students through one-on-one conversations or group discussions, based on your academic program, nationality, hobbies, and more. The Goin' Student Ambassadors at Mohawk College play a key role in welcoming new students to the college community and the Hamilton area by helping them adjust to their new environment, reducing uncertainties about moving abroad, and fostering early friendships. As an ambassador, you will help students navigate the platform, engage in meaningful discussions, take responsibility for specific groups, such as fun groups, study groups, or support groups, based on your interests, and join or create groups for your own study program to connect with incoming students in your field.
Global International Digital Ambassador
The International Digital Ambassador role offers students the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the journey of prospective and newly admitted international students. Ambassadors provide peer-to-peer support, share their experiences, and help others feel welcomed and informed about life at Mohawk. Through engaging activities such as blogging, digital content creation, and participation in online chats, ambassadors promote the college, build brand awareness, and inspire future students to choose Mohawk College as their destination for study and growth.
