Dual Credit

Invest in your future.

Do you want to gain hands-on experience while you finish your high school diploma?

Do you want to earn college credits and see if college is right for you before you graduate high school?

Do you need a little extra motivation to finish your last few high school credits?

Do you want to get a head start on college?

Dual Credits may be right for you!

Mohawk College, in partnership with local district school boards, is proud to offer students a wide variety of dual credit opportunities.  Senior level students may be eligible to earn up to two high school credits towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and two Mohawk College credits.

Dual Credit programs at Mohawk have been especially useful for students who struggle with finishing high school.  Imagine finishing those final few high school credits while also learning how to lay a weld seam on a T joint, designing 3D images in autoCAD or discovering key trends in the local eSports landscape!

High school students taking ministry-approved dual credit courses or training are supervised and supported by a college instructor and the dual credit teacher, with access to a variety of supports and services from both institutions.

What does it cost?

Programming is delivered at the high schools or at one of the college campuses -and- thanks to the Government of Ontario, students will NOT pay for any tuition, textbooks, or even bus fare to get to and from these Dual Credits!
