Dr. Jessie Carviel has been a professor at Mohawk College since 2018. As a faculty member in the School of Climate Action, Jessie teaches in the Biotechnology and Biotechnology Advanced programs. Her background in molecular genetics and teaching is supported by a PhD from McMaster University, and a Bachelor of Education from Brock University. Prior to joining the College, Jessie first worked in the field of agri-science on sustainability projects like the creation of biopesticides, followed by a transition to medicine and clinical trials, where she investigated both fungal and autoimmune disease.
