Vivian Armas earned her Bachelor of Science in Natural Science from Lakehead University in 1993. After which, she went on to complete her Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy from Centennial College in 1999. Vivian has worked in a variety of settings, including spas, multidisciplinary centres, and corporate centres, as well as owning her own clinic. She continues to run her private practice on a part time basis. Vivian began instructing at the college level in 2008. She became a professor in the Massage Therapy program at Mohawk College in September of 2013, and has been a coordinator in the program since 2014. Her passion for health care is what drives her to educate and encourage students to become exemplary professionals in the field of Massage Therapy.
