In this information session, we will go point-by-point and explain all steps that new students need to do before starting their program and the next steps to get these things done.

11:00 a.m. - Mark Your Calendars: Key Dates and Resources to Keep You Informed and Involved
Bring your agenda or bust out your calendar app - we will be going through all the key dates that new students need to know. We will also share resources and links that students should be checking for the most up-to-date information throughout their program.

11:00 a.m. - Accessible Learning Services Info Session (unitl 11:30)
Brief presentation to provide an overview of the services and supports offered by Accessible Learning Services at the college. We will cover information about accommodations and supports available to assist with accessibility needs.

New to Mohawk College or the Hamilton area? We will go over everything you need to know to navigate, stay safe, thrive, and have fun in your new home. From college services to getting to know the city to how to have fun, this session covers it all!

12:00 p.m. - You've Got Rights! We're Here to Help.
Let's be real: college doesn't always go exactly as planned. Whether you're dealing with conflict, harassment, discrimination, sexual violence, or just need to know your options, we're the office that helps students understand their rights, access support, and find pathways forward.

1:00 p.m. - Digital Skills
The Digital Skills Team will assist students with navigating academic technology, college systems, access to Microsoft 365, and more!

2:00 p.m. - Mental Wellbeing & Transitioning to College Workshop
The Health & Wellness Centre offers a range of wellness programs to support you in building and maintaining your physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. By attending this workshop, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our team as well as other students and develop new skills and strategies for improving your health and wellbeing. These sessions are also a great way to learn more about on-campus and community resources.
