9:00 a.m. - You've Got Rights! We're Here to Help

Let's be real: college doesn't always go exactly as planned. Whether you're dealing with conflict, harassment, discrimination, sexual violence, or just need to know your options, we're the office that helps students understand their rights, access support, and find pathways forward.

9:00 a.m. - New International Student Orientation (until 2:00 p.m.)

10:00 a.m. - New Student Checklist: Everything to Do Before Classes Start

In this information session, we will go point-by-point and explain all steps that new students need to do before starting their program and the next steps to get these things done.

11:00 a.m. - Mark Your Calendars: Key Dates and Resources to Keep You Informed and Involved 

Bring your agenda or bust out your calendar app - we will be going through all the key dates that new students need to know. We will also share resources and links that students should be checking for the most up-to-date information throughout their program.

12:00 p.m. - The It Takes All of Us Series: Healthy Relationships, Boundaries, & Consent 

Healthy Relationships, Boundaries, & Consent is an interactive, discussion-based workshop designed to help students understand what healthy, respectful relationships and interactions look like on campus. During this session, students will learn the foundations of consent—what it is, why it matters, and how to practice it in everyday situations.

2:00 p.m. - Research Ready: Your First Steps into Applied Research 

Curious about applied research but not sure where to begin? This hands-on workshop will help you discover how applied research can enhance your academic experience, build career-ready skills, and connect you with real industry and community challenges. Through interactive activities and practical exercises, you'll assess your readiness, explore opportunities, and learn how to take the next step in your applied research journey.
