Digital Skills & Academic Technology
Our Digital Skills & Academic Technology team provides frontline, just-in-time support for students, faculty, and staff at Mohawk College. Based in the Digital Creativity Centre (EA105, Fennell Campus) and wherever you are online, we are here to help youke navigate learning technology li MyCanvas, email, Wi-Fi, Microsoft 365, and more. In addition to keeping our learning technologies up and running, we offer workshops, certifications, bookable spaces, and personalized consultations—both virtually and in person. We also offer 3D printing for academic projects at our Fennell Campus.

Instructional Design Expertise
Instructional Designers (IDs) provide support and training to help program areas with course (re)design and development, expertise in creating and delivering online learning experiences, and advice on adopting and integrating learning technology in the teaching and learning environment. Central to this is the training and support for MyCanvas tools, including New Quizzes, Rubrics, Discussions, etc., as well as integrated systems like Kaltura, Respondus LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor, H5P, and more.

Curriculum & Program Quality and Teaching & Learning Support
Curriculum & Program Quality Consultants (CPQC) support program and course development and program quality processes, including curriculum design, program mapping, course outline development, course design, assessments & evaluation, active learning experiences, lesson planning, and other course design and delivery topics. CPQCs also support academic quality processes related to Comprehensive Program Review, Annual Curriculum Reviews, new program development, modes of delivery, program of study and vocational learning outcomes updates, compliance with Provincial standards and requirements, and more.
Our Teaching & Learning Consultant (TLC) works collaboratively with program areas and individuals to support educator development. Faculty can access support for teaching and learning strategies, inclusive pedagogies and frameworks, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and intercultural competencies. Program areas can request support for initiatives related to educator development and enhancing our students' learning experience.

AODA Accessibility Specialist Support
Expert advice on the creation of accessible learning assets, including documents, PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, captioned videos, and other digital or document resources, is available via consultation, with other learning opportunities offered via workshops and drop-in sessions.
