Bilal is a professor of Computer Science at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Canada, and a researcher at the college's IDEAWORKS. As a faculty member at Mohawk College's digital health program, he has developed and taught several computer science and business courses. He is an active researcher as a member of the Internet of Things (IoT) Expert Board and the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Advisory Group.

Bilal has been part of the technical program committee and is involved in the review of various conferences and journals. His previous experiences include working at Cisco Systems for more than six years in Ireland and the USA. His other experiences in Ireland include working on the Europe Horizon 2020 projects as a Senior Post Doc at the University College Cork (UCC), and being a senior software researcher at the Telecommunications Software and Systems Group (TSSG) in Waterford.

Dr. Al Momani holds a BSc in Computer Science, MSc in Telecommunications and Distribution Systems, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science. He has more than 15 years of experience in the industry and academic in Canada and Internationally. He has extensive experiences working in applied research projects and his main research focus includes Image Processing, AI, Network and Cloud Computing, and Smart City applications of IoT.
