Labs and Simulation Spaces
Law Enforcement Simulation Lab
The Dynamic Tactical Simulation Lab is an immersive learning environment where students develop ethical reasoning, investigative judgment, and evidence-based decision-making through realistic policing scenarios. Using intelligence-led policing simulations, students practice crime scene management, suspect detection and apprehension, and effective evidence gathering, while strengthening problem-solving, communication, and team-based skills essential to professional law enforcement practice.
Library
The Library offers in-person research support, reservable study rooms and a quiet study pod for focused work. Students can borrow books, paperbacks and calculators, use any of the 18 computers available for study and coursework.
Machine Shop
General Machinists cut, shape and finish metal to produce precision machined parts and components used in all areas of manufacturing. Our students interpret engineering drawings (blueprints) and work process documents to set up machine lathes and mills to create precision machined parts and components. This process is carried out in tandem with measuring or inspecting work-in-progress using specialized precision tools and equipment
Massage Therapy Clinic
The Clinic in R101 provides opportunity for Professionals in Training to gain hands-on skills in our Massage Therapy teaching centre. Students are supervised by Registered Massage Therapists as they provide safe and effective treatments to their clients.
Materials Development & Characterization Lab
The Materials Development and Characterization Lab provides students with hands-on experience analyzing and testing material properties. The lab supports learning in material selection, development, and performance evaluation using industry-standard equipment. Through applied experiments and data analysis, students build practical skills in quality control, research, and materials innovation.

Medical Imaging Suite
The Medical Imaging Suite gives students hands-on experience with the technology used every day in modern healthcare. This area includes multiple X-ray rooms and a CT scanner, allowing learners to practice real imaging techniques and build confidence in a safe, simulated clinical environment.
Medical Radiation Simulator
This is our Varian Acuity Simulator IX room, where students simulate real world practices in the area of radiation therapy.
Metallurgy Lab
Aligned with the Mechanical Engineering Technology program (the only one in Canada certified by the Foundry Educational Foundation). Students study metal casting, heat treatment, and material grain structures using mounting presses and microscopes.
mHealth & eHealth Development and Innovation Centre (MEDIC) Lab
The Medic Lab is part of the mHealth and eHealth Development and Innovation Centre. Mohawk students and researchers work with industry and government partners to build software applications that provide healthcare practitioners access to patient data in a secure environment.
