Call for Proposals May 27-28, 2026:

Catalyzing Climate Action for a Sustainable Future 


Hosted at Mohawk College’s Fennell Campus, the Spring 2026 PIVOT Conference is a dynamic, multi-day gathering designed to accelerate climate action through collaboration, innovation, and community engagement. With an anticipated 300 attendees, the conference features immersive field trips, thought-provoking keynotes, and hands-on workshops. 

A central focus will be placed on sector-specific streams including: Education & Community, Finance & Policy, and Industry & Infrastructure. Each stream is designed to foster cross-sector dialogue and drive tangible solutions. From Indigenous-led conservation and sustainable finance to green workforce development and smart infrastructure, PIVOT 2026 aims to bring together changemakers to inspire a just, sustainable future starting right here in Hamilton.

Suggest a panel discussion that would be 45-60 minutes and will convene 3–4 key leaders, to foster informed dialogue. The discussion will aim to ensure transparency, comprehensive understanding, and collaborative input, strengthening one of the key streams.
Each climate conversation will be 45-60 minutes, followed by a brief audience Q&A. The goal is to blend inspiration with grounded experience, spotlighting people who are actively moving the needle on climate action in ways that are tangible, hopeful, and replicable.
The poster presentation will visually summarize key aspects of the proposal, providing a concise and engaging format for stakeholders. It promotes quick understanding, highlights essential data, and encourages discussion to support transparency and informed decision-making.
Speakers present for 8 to 10 minutes each on a focused topic (project, research project, etc.) with 5 minutes for audience follow-up. We aim for these quick presentations to be high energy and allow for diverse perspectives to be showcased over a short time period.
