An essential transition program for students with a disability who have registered with Accessible Learning Services.

AccessAbility Summer Transition Program – Begin Well Do Well is a one week program for first year students with disabilities. Workshops are designed to provide students with an in depth understanding of learning strategies, accommodations, and supports that can help with the transition to college. Workshops include:

Transition to College

College is a big step in life! Learn how to ease in and flourish in this new environment.

Student Panel

Learn what it takes to use your accommodations and resources to succeed in college! Listen to actual students who have done it and ask them any questions you may have.

Parents/Caregiver Panel

Learn how ALS can support your student, and how YOU can help support their success!

Social Connect

Nervous about meeting others? Can socializing be a challenge? Learn about a social group that opens the door to social opportunity, while exploring resources to help connect with others.


Asking for help isn’t easy for anyone! In this workshop, we’ll look at the importance of advocating for yourself, as well as provide some tips and tricks to help you succeed.

Note Taking

Does college level note taking look daunting? Learn strategies and try your hand at taking notes from a live instructor.


New to MyCanvas? In this workshop, we’ll learn to navigate this Learning Management System; the point of access to all your course material.

Semester on a Page

Questioning how to manage all those assignments? Learn to organize, manage your time and prioritize with Semester on a Page!

Begin Well Do Well sessions are being offered this year through Microsoft Teams. As a Mohawk student, you have access to Microsoft Office 365 which includes Microsoft Teams. For more information on how to access Office 365, visit the Library website.
