Curriculum Development and Design
Curriculum Development Specialists assist faculty with course outlines, curriculum mapping, writing learning outcomes, lesson plans and more, while Designers assist with rubric/assessment development, blended/online course design, active learning strategies and more!
Teaching & Learning Consultants
Teaching and Learning Consultants assist faculty to create inclusive and accessible learning environments that support all students. As Mohawk College evolves into an increasingly diverse institution, with learners from a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities, our team can support the design, development and delivery of course content for the classroom and online. Faculty Development
Faculty development includes the coordination of the College Educator Development Program (CEDP), the Teaching for Success program and other faculty professional development workshops, conferences, programs and activities, as well as research in this area.
Educational Technology Specialists, Learning Technologies, and Multimedia Production
Educational Technology Specialists and the Learning Technologies Technician, advise and assist faculty in developing content, and configuring and optimizing online learning environments within MyCanvas, the College's learning platform. Central to this is the training and support for the deployment and configuration of MyCanvas tools, like Quizzes, Rubrics, Dropboxes, Discussions, etc., as well as the Recording Booths and other integrated systems, like the Kaltura streaming media service, Turnitin Plagiarism detection, and our video capture system, Panopto.
Multimedia Production is a project-based service that focuses on the design and authoring of educational interactive multimedia projects and modules, as well as the development and creation of associated digital media types - graphic design, original photography, and audio and video recording and editing.
