Competed in 2017 Skills Canada National Competition, Silver Medal in Industrial Mechanic/Millwright category.

After being in the Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Automation (Industrial Mechanic Millwright) program at Fennell Campus, I realized that my passion is for working in a hands-on environment. I ended up transferring to the Industrial Mechanic program at Stoney Creek Campus because this program aligned with my desire for working hands on.

During my last year of school, I was fortunate enough to have Richard Dupp as a professor, who introduced me to the Skills Ontario Competition. Rick was very influential in my success at the Skills Competitions at the provincial and national levels. He prepared me for the competitions tirelessly and instilled an incredible amount of knowledge and confidence in myself and my performance.

I’m currently employed as a mechanical maintainer at Ontario Power Generation in Niagara Falls. When I think back to my participation in the Skills Ontario and Skills Canada National Competitions, I am reminded of what incredible experiences they were, which included meeting exceptional and talented young individuals, all at the forefront of their trade.
