Elizabeth Fabbroni Martin is a Professor and the First Year Coordinator for Mechanical Engineering Technology in the School of Engineering Technology at Mohawk College. Ms. Martin has also previous served as both coordinator and professor for the engineering math group.
Before teaching at Mohawk, Elizabeth served as Director of Operations for the Centre for Surgical Invention and Innovation. She also has prior work experience in research and development for Intel, Corp. as a process engineer, automation integrator, and business manager.
Elizabeth presently serves as a director on the Mohawk College Research Ethics Board, President of the Board of Directors for the Hamilton and District Literacy Council, and Secretary of the Ontario College Mathematics Association. She has additionally participated in committee or program work in the areas of online learning, AODA compliance, intellectual property, student learning styles, 21st century skills, electronic texts, and incoming student metrics. Additionally, Elizabeth has participated as an active member of the OCMC (Ontario College Math Council) and has spoken annually at the Ontario College Math Association. She is also an textbook editor for Pearson, Canada.
Ms. Martin holds educational designations in Chemistry (BSc Boston College, 1998), Materials Science and Engineering (PhD Northwestern University, 2003), and Business (MBA, UW Ivey School of Business, 2010).
