Social Inc is hosting a Friday Film Recommendation double feature.

All Mohawk College students can access these films for free through CBC Gem and YouTube.

"'Stories From The Land' the short doc-series picks up where the podcast leaves off and reaches across Indigenous communities to paint a picture of Indigenous identity through global themes of humanity."

"National Geographic Presents: IMPACT With Gal Gadot (Coming Home - Ep. 4)"

"Memphis, Tennessee, U.S.A.: Meet Kayla, who has dedicated her life to helping homeless transgender women of color in Memphis, Tennessee. Having experienced homelessness and violence herself, Kayla has created a safe community for these notoriously discriminated-against people. She is building more than two dozen houses across Memphis for transgender women who need safety and a place to call home."

Joshua Whitehead

Joshua Whitehead is an Oji-Cree, Two-Spirit storyteller and academic from Peguis First Nation on Treaty 1 territory in Manitoba. He is an Associate Professor of Indigenous Studies and English at the University of Calgary on Treaty 7 territory. He is the author of full-metal indigiqueer, Jonny Appleseed, and the editor of Love after the End: an Anthology of Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer Speculative Fiction.
