Joyce Centre for Partnership and Innovation

Leveraging existing and new partnerships, this space will focus on technologically advanced learning and lab spaces, all under one roof.

Located at our Fennell campus, the new 96,000 square-foot Joyce Centre for Partnership & Innovation will build on Mohawk’s applied research strengths in three focus areas of health, energy and technology.  Leveraging existing and new partnerships, this space will focus on technologically advanced learning and lab spaces, all under one roof.

Guided by Mohawk faculty and industry partners, students will cultivate their problem solving, critical thinking, technical and collaborative skills, using cutting edge industry equipment and tools. The Joyce Centre for Partnership & Innovation will include state-of-the-art labs, workshops, lecture theatres, industry training centres and showcases.

A net-zero footprint facility, The Joyce Centre for Partnership & Innovation will be more than a bold aesthetic statement.  It will demonstrate Mohawk’s vision to be the environmental leader our students, staff and partners expect. We are proud to announce that the Canada Green Building Council has selected The Joyce Centre for Partnership & Innovation as a national pilot project to demonstrate its new net-zero energy carbon standard and validation process.

The Joyce Centre for Partnership & Innovation will be entirely dedicated to the student experience and expand experiential learning at Mohawk. Students will enjoy greater access to laboratories, and the opportunity to learn through capstone projects, industry placements, co-op work terms, applied R&D and team competitions. This will supply much-needed graduates to our industry partners and magnify our College’s regional economic impact.
