IMPORTANT NOTE: Mohawk College Residence does NOT defer residence fee payments for OSAP. Arrangements should be made to meet the fee deadlines outlined below.
Rates apply to full-time students enrolled at Mohawk College. Residence fees include utilities, internet (including residence-wide Wi-Fi), and a furnished suite.
Students can apply for Residence before they are accepted into their program. Your Residence application is separate from your College application.
Mohawk College Residence requires you to purchase a Mandatory Meal Plan.
Fees are subject to change.
Residence Rates
All Residence bedrooms are 2-bedroom suites. The rates below are per resident to occupy a private bedroom in a shared suite.
Meal Plan Fees
For Academic Year applicants, Meal Plan Fees are due in full with your first Residence payment on June 20.
For Winter applicants, Meal Plans Fees are 50% of the full year amount, due with your Residence payment on December 1.

Term Extension Rate Information
- Academic Year 2026-2027 and Winter 2027 Term Extension Rate: $46.12/night
- Summer 2026 Term Extension Rate: $33.33/night
If a student wishes to move-in prior to the scheduled move-in day, or move-out after the scheduled move-out day, the student may do so with written permission of the Manager up to a maximum of fourteen (14) days at the posted Term Extension Rate. All early move-in and late move-out requests are subject to availability and can be approved or denied at the sole discretion of the Manager. (SHA section 2.6)
Exception Term Calendars
The rates listed above ensure the student the right to occupy a Room during the posted Term (Move-In to Move-Out date). Some Mohawk College programs do not align with the posted Term dates listed above and might start prior to move-in day or end after move-out day. If your program dates do not align with the posted move-in and move-out dates, additional fees will apply to accommodate extended stays in Residence.
Payment Methods
Wire transfers may be made available to international students upon request only. International students will be prompted to complete payment via Flywire directly through the Housing Portal.
IMPORTANT: your Mohawk College tuition account is separate from your Residence account. Please do not pay your Residence fees to the College, these should be separate transactions.
PLEASE NOTE: you will not be notified if your payment has been received. For account information please check the Housing Portal, under the tab “Accounts”, and you will be able to view your own account transactions online.
Termination & Cancellation Policy
Please review Section 8 (Termination & Cancellation Policy) of the current Student Residence Agreement (SRA) located under Residence Documents in the Resident Resources tab.
Cancellations
Cancellations occur prior to move-in. Applications must be cancelled through your Housing Portal account.
Withdrawals
Withdrawals occur after move-in. If you wish to withdraw from residence, please contact the info [at] mohawkresidence.ca (Front Desk) and request a Residence Withdrawal Form. You must return it within 5 business days of your anticipated departure date.
