The future of work is entrepreneurial
Entrepreneurship activities can include anything from starting a business to inventing a product, from creative freelancing to running a skilled trades business. Additionally, employers are now looking to hire entrepreneurial thinkers to become intrapreneurs within their organization.
At SURGE, in addition to helping Mohawk students and alumni become entrepreneurs, we also help develop the entrepreneurial mindset of Mohawk students in all programs of study.
The entrepreneurial mindset is a way of adaptable thinking and decision-making in complex, uncertain and dynamic environments. The five characteristics of an entrepreneurial mindset are:
- Learning from mistakes
- Adding value
- Searching for innovative ideas.
- Adaptability and optimism
In addition to the services and support below, we also are available to work individually with faculty and staff at all Mohawk campuses.
