Section 5 of the AODA requires colleges to incorporate accessibility criteria and features when procuring or acquiring goods, services or facilities, except where it is not practicable to do so. All stakeholders should be aware that accessibility features need to be considered when preparing to procure or acquire goods, services or facilities.
This toolkit has been developed for college employees responsible for carrying out and managing the procurement of goods, services and facilities on behalf of their college. It provides general considerations around incorporating accessibility into the procurement process, along with sample checklists and a list of resources.
