Mohawk’s online Open House offers future students an opportunity to explore different aspects of Mohawk College such as the programs offered, the services available to students and what life is like on campus. Here are a few ways to get the most out of your Open House experience:
Get to Know Mohawk
The best place to start is by learning more about Mohawk’s role in the community.

Check out the Mohawk viewbook and career match quiz
Once you’ve gotten to know Mohawk and explored the different programs and services, your next stop is the Custom Viewbook and Career Match Quiz.
The Custom Viewbook allows you to easily save and compare different aspects of programs that interest you. If there are parts of a potential program you would like to learn more about, you can easily do so through the 3-step system used by the Custom Viewbook.
If you’re having trouble deciding which program may be best for you, try the Career Match Quiz. It’s a short quiz designed to get an idea based on your personality and gauge which programs are best suited for you. The Career Match Quiz can help get you pointed in the right direction and provide a pool of potential programs for you to research further.
Explore potential careers
Now that you have a few programs in mind, your next step is Career Coach. Career Coach allows you to use a built-in system to browse careers and programs related to your career suggestions and compare things like wages, employment, types of training needed and learning outcomes offered from various programs.
The Career Coach also offers a longer and more in-depth assessment that considers your interests, skills and personality and determines career suggestions based on your answer. It takes more time to complete than the Career Match Quiz but can provide a set of career suggestions that are more accurate to your interests.
Register early Open House+
If you’ve completed the steps above, you should have a pretty good idea of the programs that interest you – and now is your best opportunity to learn more about them. Open House+ allows you to connect with educational advisors and attend events so you can get every piece of information you need about your program, services available for you to take advantage of, and how to apply – not to mention a chance to win great prizes if you register for Open House before October 31!
One of the biggest decisions of your life is choosing what to pursue in college. If you take advantage of the services offered at Mohawk and do your own research, it can make that decision easier.
