Rates & Payment Options for Mohawk Residence

IMPORTANT NOTE: Mohawk College Residence does NOT defer residence fee payments for OSAP. Arrangements should be made to meet the fee deadlines outlined below.

Rates apply to full-time students enrolled at Mohawk College. Residence fees include utilities, internet (including residence-wide Wi-Fi), and a furnished suite.

Students can apply for Residence before they are accepted into their program. Your Residence application is separate from your College application.

Mohawk College Residence requires you to purchase a Mandatory Meal Plan.

The fees outlined below do not include Winter Break closure period. Please contact residence directly regarding staying over the winter break.

Fennell Residence Rates

 

Two Bedroom - Double Occupancy Suite - PRIVATE BEDROOM

Academic Year 2026-2027 (September to April)

An additional $100 non-refundable application fee is due upon application.

Option 1: Single Payment

  • $9,500.00 due June 20, 2026
     

Additional Meal Plan Fees apply on your first payment.

Option 2: Split Payment
(No administration fee)

  • $3,300.00 due June 20, 2026
  • $6,200.00 due September 20, 2026
     

Additional Meal Plan Fees apply on your first payment.

Option 3: Split Payment
(Includes additional $100.00 administration fee.)

  • $3,300.00 due June 20, 2026
  • $4,450.00 due September 20, 2026
  • $1,850.00 due January 20, 2027

Summer 2026 (May - August)

Option 1: Single Payment

  • $3,500.00 due April 15, 2026

 

Option 2: Split Payment

(Includes additional $100 administration fee)

  • $1,200.00 due April 15, 2026
  • $1,200.00 due May 15, 2026
  • $1,200.00 due June 15, 2026
     

Winter 2027 (January – April)

Option 1: Single Payment

  • $4,750.00 due December 1, 2026
     

 Please note: if accepted into residence after December 1, payment is due immediately.

 

Meal Plan Fees

Meal Plan Fees are due in full with your first Residence payment, June 20. For information on Meal Plan Fees rates, please visit the Residence Meal Plan page and check the Meal Plan Options.

Winter 2027 (January - April)

Option 1: Single Payment

The total cost of a Winter Term Meal Plan is 50% of the full year amount.

Payment Methods

Certified Cheque, Money Order, Bank Draft

Certified cheques, money orders, or bank drafts made out to "CLC Mohawk" can be couriered (for tracking) or dropped off in person to the Residence. 

If sending via courier please include a letter with the student's name and invoice number so it can be applied to the correct account.

Bill Payee via Banking

The Residence can be set up as a 'Bill Payee' at your bank (similar to setting up a credit card, or other bill).

Ensure to list the payee as "Mohawk - Residence" or “Mohawk Residence Fees" (depending on your bank). 

Use the invoice number found in the top middle of your invoice as the account number that is requested when setting us up as a payee. 

If you do not have an invoice, you may find this number by logging into the Residence My Housing Portal; it is your six or seven digit "Account Number" found on your "Profile Summary" page. 

Please note that this method of payment usually takes roughly 5-10 business days to be processed. 

If your banking institution does not have "Mohawk - Residence" listed as a payee, please choose another method of payment.

Wire transfers may be made available to international students upon request only. International students will be prompted to complete payment via Flywire directly through the Housing Portal.

IMPORTANT: your Mohawk College tuition account is separate from your Residence account.  Please do not pay your Residence fees to the College, these should be separate transactions.

PLEASE NOTE: you will not be notified if your payment has been received. For account information please check the Housing Portal, under the tab “Accounts”, and you will be able to view your own account transactions online.


Termination & Cancellation Policy

Please review Section 8 (Termination & Cancellation Policy) of the current Student Residence Agreement (SRA) located under Residence Documents in the Resident Resources tab. 

Cancellations

Cancellations occur prior to move-in. Applications must be cancelled through your Housing Portal account.

Withdrawals

Withdrawals occur after move-in. If you wish to withdraw from residence, please contact the info [at] mohawkresidence.ca (Front Desk) and request a Residence Withdrawal Form. You must return it within 5 business days of your anticipated departure date.
