Accessibility Leadership Award

The Accessibility Leadership Award will recognize the outstanding contributions of a student who actively fosters an inclusive environment that is accessible and welcoming for everyone and ensures dignity, integration and equality of opportunity.

CCR Award

Presented to: Priscilla Ramjit


Awarded to a student volunteer who has made a significant contribution of their time and efforts to benefit the Mohawk College Community. This student had demonstrated success in both quality and quantity of their volunteer service to the college. These contributions are determined by number of volunteer hours recorded through the CCR, as well as participation in a variety of co-curricular and curricular activities. This student also demonstrates the development skills connected to the Institutional Learning Outcomes at Mohawk College.

Community Involvement Award

Presented to: Gregory Phillips


The Community Involvement Award is presented to a student who demonstrates active participation within the Aboriginal community to promote and inspire our people.

International Student Scholarship of Excellence Award

Presented to: Shana-Kay Davis


Presented to a full-time international student who is registered in their second or third year of postsecondary studies. Student must have completed their first year of full-time studies with a minimum average of 75%, with no failures or withdrawals. The student must also have participated in activities that have made a contribution to other students, International Education Services or another Mohawk College department.

Awarded to the student who has made a significant contribution to the spirit and energy at Mohawk College. This student has demonstrated the ability to influence the college community with enthusiasm, positivity, energy and the ability to motivate other students to be involved.

Outstanding Intermural / Rec. Award

Presented to: Colin Darnell


This recipient will be a member of the intramural or recreation participant in the current year who has shown commitment to sport and to the community. The award winner will be active in college or community volunteering or leadership roles. This student will also demonstrate the development of skills connected to the Institutional Learning Outcomes of Mohawk College.

Outstanding Varsity Athlete Award

Presented to: Brittany Gingrich


This recipient will be a member of a varsity team in the current year who has shown commitment to sport and to the community. The award winner will be active in college or community volunteering or leadership roles. This student will also demonstrate the development of skills connected to the Institutional Learning Outcomes of Mohawk College.

P.A.S.S Leader Award

Presented to: Stephanie Halcrow


Modelling exemplary student behaviour, Peer-Assisted Study Session (P.A.S.S) Leaders are responsible for the facilitation of group study sessions to promote the success of students in targeted first-year courses. This award is earned by a P.A.S.S Leader who exemplifies strong communication, collaboration and responsible citizenship skills while promoting student success at Mohawk College.

Peer Tutor Award

Presented to: Tyler Waltenbury


The position of Peer Tutor requires a model student who is dedicated to helping their peers succeed in college by providing tailored one-on-one and small group tutoring. This award is earned by a tutor who exemplifies strong communication, collaboration and responsible citizenship skills while assisting students in their studies at Mohawk College.

Perseverance Award

The Perseverance Award is presented to a student who has demonstrated commitment, pride, and a positive attitude in pursuit of their post-secondary education despite obstacles.

President's Award

Presented to an international student in their final year with the highest GPA over combined years at Mohawk College.

Sara Smith Award

Presented to: Behdahbuhn Logan


The Sara Smith Award is presented to a student who demonstrates strong overall success in
academic, personal and community involvement.

Social Inc. Award

Presented to: Nadia Mastroianni


Awarded to the student who has made a significant contribution in diversity and inclusion in the Mohawk Community. A students’ whose demonstrable efforts foster greater appreciation, advancement and celebration of diversity and inclusiveness in the college community environment.

Sustainability Award

Presented to: Ashley Packer


The Sustainability Award is presented to a student who goes above and beyond to advance sustainability on campus by exhibiting strong leadership and commitment towards raising awareness through peer-to-peer activities, while championing Sustainability and the Environmental Management Plan at Mohawk College.

Vice President's Scholarship Award

Presented to: Jacques Heri Soares da Silva


Presented to an international student who has a minimum 70% GPA and demonstrated a positive contribution to College life and the community. The international student has set high standards and is an ambassador to other students, as well, has the characteristics of being a high academic achiever and team player. The international student has exhibited dedication to their studies.

Writing Centre Peer Tutor Award

Presented to: Adekunle Ifabiyi


The Writing Centre Peer Tutor is a dedicated leader who provides specialised support to Mohawk College students within the areas of writing, reading, speaking and listening. This award is earned by a Writing Centre Peer Tutor who exemplifies strong communication, collaboration and responsible citizenship skills while empowering students to develop their academic and employability skills at Mohawk College.

Continuing Education Award

Presented to: Dorothy Boruta


Awarded to a student who has achieved a minimum of a 75% grade point average, as well as demonstrated each of Mohawk College's Learning Outcomes (communicator, collaborator, critical thinker, lifelong learner, and responsible citizen). This award is only available to continuing education students who are completing a credential at Mohawk (Mohawk College Certificate, Ontario College Certificate, Diploma, Post-Graduate Certificate).
