The Learning Support Centre at Fennell is a space dedicated to student learning and success. Our services include general studies, with dedicated help for Math, Writing, and Peer Tutoring.

Fennell Campus Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am - 9:00 pm
  • Friday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

The front desk operations are open Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Learning Support Centre Guidelines

The Learning Support Centre provides a dedicated and positive environment to enhance your academic success through peer tutoring, self-directed and quiet group study activities.

To ensure that the Learning Support Centre provides a positive learning environment, we respectfully ask that you adhere to the guidelines below:

  • Please use the Centre for tutoring appointments*, individual or quiet group study
  • Please use the computers for academic activities (no Facebook, Youtube)
  • Please use the tables for tutoring and academic activities
  • Please use low volume with personal media/laptops/headphones
  • Please use cellphones outside of Centre
  • Please use the recycling centre located at the front to remove any food wrappers, coffee cups, garbage, gum

Please note: Space and computer priority will be given to Peer Tutoring, Writing Centre and Math Learning Centre activities.

We reserve the right to ask you to use the Centre for the purposes stated above.

Every month, the Learning Support Centre will profile an outstanding Student Leader! We want to celebrate our Peer Tutors, P.A.S.S. Leaders, Student Ambassadors, Student Success Mentor and Social Media Ambassadors. We acknowledge your dedication and commitment to our students!

Student Leaders can be nominated by:

  • Staff Nominations
  • Student Leader Nominations
  • Faculty Nominations
  • Tutee Nominations (Tutor Shout Outs)


The LSC Student Leader of the Month:

  • Will be announced the last day of the month via email
  • Will receive a certificate and padfolio
  • Is awarded every month throughout the year (Fall term, Winter term, Spring/Summer terms)

Nominations will be accepted until the last day of the month. A Student Leader will be selected and announced the first week of the following month (e.g. March nominations will be accepted until March 31 and award winner will be announced beginning of April).
