Using Qualtrics for research purposes IR is the Brand Administrator for Qualtrics at Mohawk College.  For research projects, the research Principle Investigator/Data Custodian (PI/DC) is the owner of the study data, and research data will not be accessed by IR staff nor shared without the written permission of the PI/DC.  In addition, it is up to the PI/DC to delete any study data in Qualtrics when it comes time for data destruction.

Other online survey tools

If you are an employee wanting to conduct a survey outside of Mohawk purposes; or you are a student conducting a survey as part of a course project, you can use any one of these tools.  However, Mohawk’s Institutional Research (IR) department does not provide any support services for these tools. 

Due to differing data and privacy laws, it is a best practice to use an online survey tool that host/stores their survey data on Canadian servers.  Although not exhaustive, some examples of such tools are below.
