One-step TB Skin Test

A one-step TB skin test requires two appointments with the Health & Wellness Centre. A test is placed during the first visit and results are read 48-72 hours later during the second appointment. 

Two-step TB Skin Test

A two-step TB skin test requires four appointments with the Health & Wellness Centre. A test is placed during the first visit and results are read 48-72 hours later during the second appointment. A test completed on the opposite arm is required 7-21 days following the administration of your first test. 

Patients who have completed a two-step test in the past only require a one-step test to renew your TB status. 

The Mohawk College Health and Wellness Centre is currently offering TB skin tests to students. Eligibility is directed by public health guidelines and must be reviewed in order to receive publicly funded testing. The Health & Wellness Centre offers the following vaccinations at no cost to students and employees:

• COVID-19 (contact the Health & Wellness Centre for information on availability)
• Influenza (seasonal availability)
• TDAP (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis)
• Td (Tetanus)
• MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)
• Varicella
• Hepatitis B (High-risk only)
• IPV (Polio) (65+ years)
• HZ (Herpes Zoster)
• Pneu-P-23 (Pneumococcal Conjugate 23)

Please remember to bring "FORM C", "FORM D", your OneCard, and any vaccination records or lab reports with you to your appointment.

The Mohawk College Health and Wellness center is currently offering publicly funded immunizations to students and employees. Eligibility is directed by public health guidelines and must be reviewed in order to receive publicly funded immunizations. For questions regarding availability or eligibility please contact healthservices [at] mohawkcollege.ca (Health Services).

On-campus physician appointments are available through the Health & Wellness Centre Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00am-12:00pm. Physician services include:

• Physical examinations
• Pain assessments
• Rash/skin conditions
• Sexual health
• Cold/flu symptoms
• Prescription refills
