What you'll learn:

  • Complex procedures of designing, building and installing air handling systems and environmental controls.

  • Acquire hands-on skills, pattern drafting and layout work to succeed in the trade.

  • Explore every aspect of the sheet metal worker through a wide variety of courses covering topics such as fabrication and installation techniques of sheet metal, air handling systems and their related components for residential, commercial and industrial applications.

Accessible description of the apprenticeship program format

Start: Find an employer or sponsor for your training. 

Register: Register with Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU)

Level 1: Complete the on the job and in-school requirements.

Level 2: Complete the on the job and in-school requirements.

Level 3: Complete the on the job and in-school requirements.

Completion: Become a Journeyperson by successfully completing the certificate of qualification (C of Q) Exam.

Offers of classroom training are issued by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) to registered apprentices who are members in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades (OCOT).

Please contact your Employment and Training Consultant at the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities to add Mohawk College as your school preference.
