Mohawk College supports mature applicants who are enrolled in academic upgrading delivered at adult learning centres or Academic Career Entrance (ACE) courses taken online or at a public college in Ontario.
By providing proof of registration for either of the above, your eligibility for programs at Mohawk College can be updated. It is your responsibility to ensure that final grades are provided for any courses required for admission prior to program registration.
Follow the steps below to update your application with upgrading courses you are enrolled in:

- Apply online at Ontario Colleges for the Mohawk program of your choice.
- You will receive an Ontario Colleges application number (OCAS ID) electronically. Please record this number.
- Register for the prerequisite course(s) you need at an academic upgrading program at a college or adult education centre. After registration, you will receive a receipt or registration form...
- Request that the institution you registered with, send a proof of course registration form to Ontario Colleges. We will record your course registration and continue processing your application.
- If you are taking your prerequisite course(s) at Mohawk College, you do not need to submit a registration form. However, you must contact coach [at] mohawkcollege.ca (coach[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca) to notify Admissions of your course registration so it can be added to your OCAS application. We will record your course registration and continue processing your application.
- Request the instructor or school to send a mid-term grade to Ontario Colleges. It is your responsibility to ensure this information is provided. Your mid-term grade can be used as a "placeholder" to show that you are completing the prerequisite course(s).
- Courses in progress, may qualify you for a conditional offer of admission if the program is not marked as competitive. To be considered for a conditional offer for a competitive program, a midterm grade is required.
- When you successfully complete the prerequisite course(s), make sure the school submits your official transcript with final grades to Ontario Colleges. If you completed your course(s) at Mohawk College, inform the Admissions department at coach [at] mohawkcollege.ca (coach[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca) so the final grade can be added to your OCAS application.
- Once a final grade has been received by Mohawk College, the condition will be lifted from your conditional offer of admission.
Important: For prerequisite courses with completion dates listed prior to timetable selection, final grades must be received before timetable registration opens. Please refer to our Academic and Important Dates calendar for when timetable registration is scheduled to begin.
Applicants who fail to submit final grades prior to timetable registration, risk having their offers revoked, and losing their seat in the program.
