The Change of Name for Students Policy has been updated to align with current practices and permit online submission of name change requests.
The purpose of this policy is to outline the process for students and former students requesting to change their legal, preferred, chosen or lived name on their college records and to ensure appropriate processes are in place to maintain the integrity of college records.

REVISED Academic Appeals Policy
The Academic Appeals Policy has been updated to address a gap in procedure for courses where a final grade is issued before the end of the term. It further addresses conflict of interest declarations for academic managers where they are directly involved in the academic decision being appealed.
The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for promoting fairness and consistency in academic decisions affecting Mohawk College students. This policy outlines the standardized procedures for the student appellant to challenge an academic decision, and to ensure reasonable and impartial treatment of student concerns related to academic decisions.

NEW Student Mental Health Policy
The mental health and well-being of Mohawk College students are prioritized to support their academic success and lifelong achievement. This is fostered by creating a safe, inclusive, equity based and compassionate culture that is supported by a comprehensive range of college mental health and well-being services and community partnerships.

REVISED Procurement Policy (formerly Purchasing Policy)
This policy has been revised to update the signing authority levels as per Board of Governors' approval.
The purpose of this policy is to detail the principles, procedures, roles and responsibilities for the procurement of goods and services, including construction, consulting services, information technology, research expenditures, no cost purchases and revenue generating Contracts. Furthermore, the policy is to:
- ensure compliance with applicable legislative and regulatory procurement requirements, including:
- the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive Act, 2010, including the Interim Measures and the Building Ontario Businesses Initiative Act;
- Applicable trade agreements, such as the Canadian-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA);
- establish an accountability framework to effectively guide college staff and faculty with assignment of clear responsibilities throughout each stage of the procurement process;
- ensure that all employees, including any external consultants or other service providers participating, involved in the purchase of Deliverables are aware of the applicable governing legislation, regulation and code of conduct(s) and adhere to the highest standards of professional ethics; and
- ensure that publicly funded Deliverables are acquired through a process that is open, fair, and transparent.
