Mohawk College’s Board of Governors is pleased to announce that Paul Armstrong will become the college’s ninth President. Armstrong’s first day as President will be July 1, 2024.

Update - December 11, 2023
Mohawk College’s Board of Governors has formally begun the process of selecting a new President and Chief Executive Officer for the college. Following a successful procurement process, the Board has engaged the services of the Phelps Group, an executive search firm based in Toronto, to assist with leading the search.
This webpage will be used to provide the latest news and updates from the search committee, information on how employees, students and the broader community can engage with the search process, and the anticipated timeline for the search.
This is an important milestone for Mohawk College. The Search Committee is committed to a thorough and comprehensive process to ensure the best possible outcome for the college and its students.
Presidential Search Committee
Mohawk College’s Board of Governors has formed a Search Committee in accordance with the college’s established procedures for presidential searches. The Search Committee is comprised of six individuals, including five representatives from the Board of Governors and one representative from the Mohawk College Foundation Board of Directors. The following individuals will serve on the committee:

- Kathy Lerette, Vice-Chair, Board of Governors
- Bill Chisholm, Past-Chair, Board of Governors
- Brian Henry, Board of Governors
- Karen Belaire, Board of Governors
- Bob Savage, Chair, Foundation Board of Directors
Consultation and Engagement
Comments and feedback from the Mohawk College community and college partners is essential to the search process. The Phelps Group and the Search Committee will be conducting consultations to gather input from key members of the community. These consultations will help inform the Search Committee’s discussions and their understanding of the ideal candidate.
As part of the engagement process, all Mohawk College employees will receive an invitation from the Phelps Group to complete a survey. The survey link will be shared by email the week of December 11, 2023. The survey will remain open until Friday, January 5, 2024.
