Accommodate Instructions for Students

In your Accommodate portal on the left-side navigation click on ‘Accommodations’ and then ‘Letters’.

If you have any accommodation related letters on file with use, you will see a list of them here. Clicking on a letters name will open it for you to review.

In your Accommodate portal on the left-side navigation click on ‘Accommodations’ and then ‘Documents’.

If you have already submitted documents, you will see a list of them here.

Click the ‘+ Document’ button, fill out the information on the next screen and upload your document. Once you are done click the ‘Submit’ button.

In your Accommodate portal on the left-side navigation click on ‘Accommodations’ and then ‘Renewals’.

If you have previously renewed your accommodations, you will see a list of them here.

To renew your accommodations click on the ‘New’ button.

On the next screen, select the semester you are renewing your accommodations for from the drop-down menu labelled ‘Semester’.

A list of courses will you are registered in for the selected semester will show up on the right-side of the screen.

Note: if you don’t see any courses try selecting another semester from the drop-down list, if you have tried all the semesters and don’t see anything come up, contact Accessible Learning Services for support.

Click on the ‘Submit for All Accommodations’ button which will renew all your accommodations for all of the courses listed.

Note: Use this information if you would like to request additional accommodations which are not currently on your Accommodation Letter.

In your Accommodate portal on the left-side navigation click on ‘Accommodations’ and then ‘Additional Requests’.

If you have previously requested additional accommodations, you will see a list of them here.

Click on the ‘New’ button and on the next screen click ‘Yes’ under ‘Do you require additional accommodations beyond what is currently listed on your Accommodation Letter?’.

Provide information about the accommodation(s) you are requesting and upload any supporting documentation you may have.

Note: You can request multiple new accommodations on this single screen, just provide their individual information in the text box.

When you are done, click on the ‘Submit’ button.

In your Accommodate portal on the left-side navigation click on ‘Appointments’.

If you have any upcoming appointments they will be listed in one of the two panels depending on whether they are approved or not.

To request a new appointment, click on the ‘Request New Appointment’ button.

On the next screen, enter as much information as possible to narrow down available appointments. Once you have done so, click on the ‘Check Availability’ button.

A list of available appointments will show up on the right-side of the screen. Review the appointments and select the one you would like to request.

On the next screen, make sure everything is correct and provide some information about the nature of the appointment request so we can determine if it will be approved or not. Once you are done, click on the ‘Submit Request’ button.
