What is an Accessibility Coach?

An Accessibility Coach is a Mohawk College student on placement with Accessible Learning Services (ALS).

Accessibility Coaches provide one-to-one support to students registered with ALS.

Examples of Accessibility Coaching Supports

  • Physical support (excluding attendant care)
  • Mentoring support
  • Navigating the digital environment
  • Connecting with college resources

Accessing this Accommodation

Working with your Accessibility Counsellor, you will determine whether this type of support will meet your accommodation needs. If it does, it is added to your Accommodation Letter and becomes available for you when renewing your accommodations each semester.
