Program Highlights
- Training embedded within the program includes:
- Canadian Firearms Safety and Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety courses (PAL/RPAL)
- Live-fire indoctrination on industry-specific firearms
- Characteristics of Armed Persons seminar provided by members of the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit
- Simulated judgmental training systems and tactical scenario-based learning.
- Work within a fully functional Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).

What you'll learn
- Examine computer investigative techniques, risk management, executive protection, threat assessments, intelligence gathering and analysis, and corporate asset protection.
- Work towards designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner and Business Continuity Professional.
- Experience practical exercises in advanced surveillance, close protection, intelligence gathering and event management.
- Research the extensive, professional career opportunities available in a rapidly expanding industry to career and professional development.

Domestic and International student admission requirements
- Minimum 2 year college diploma in Police Foundations, Community and Justice Services or Protection, Security and Investigation, Web Informatics or Security related field OR University Criminology degree OR Equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Some employment opportunities require that certain physical standards, driving abstracts and health standards, including vision, must be met
- A Police Criminal Record Check (PCRC) and additional selection criteria may be used to assess applicants in this program (Pardons are possible, seek legal counsel)
- Applicants should be advised that employers require a Police Criminal Record Check
- Security or Private Investigation license recommended
- Proof of English proficiency for applicants where English is not their first language must be submitted to Ontario Colleges
Language Requirements for International Students:
- See below for accepted equivalents for Grade 12 English:
- Successful completion of GAS-EAP (478) Program Level 8
- TOEFL minimum score of 550 (80 Internet based)
- or IELTS Academic minimum score of 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5

Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in English. Options are available for mature applicants.

Learning Outcomes
