- This dynamic interdisciplinary program blends technical expertise in sustainable technologies—such as renewable energy, sustainable building design and operations, and resource management—with in-demand skills in project management, policy, regulations, and research, empowering you to lead in the sustainability sector.
- Apply skills and leaning in a capstone course/project, and gain hands-on experience during a Work Experience.
- Graduates of the 3-year program will be career-ready and able to apply practical skills in their chosen profession.

- In the first two years of the program, you’ll engage in hands-on learning opportunities that will prepare you for a work term placement. In your third year, you’ll have the chance to apply your skills in a real-world industry or community-based capstone project.

- OSSD or equivalent with a minimum of six (6) Grade 12 University (U) or university/college (M) courses including:
- Grade 12 English, U level
- Grade 12 Mathematics, U level
- The average of the six required courses must be 65% or higher
- One of the following senior science courses:
- Grade 11 Environmental Science (SVN3M)
- Grade 11 or 12 Biology, U Level (SBI3U, SBI4U)
- Grade 11 or 12 Chemistry, U Level (SCH3U, SCH4U)
- Grade 12 Science, University/College Preparation (SNC4M)
Don’t have a senior science? Consider applying to the Bachelor of Management – Sustainability program.
- Post-secondary courses in math, English or communications, physics, chemistry, and biology can be applied toward the above requirements

The successful completion of an Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma, Degree, or equivalent

How you'll gain skills
- Core technical knowledge will be delivered through dynamic, hands-on learning experiences, including instructor led labs in the state-of-the-art Joyce Centre for Partnership and Innovation, where you will explore sustainable building design and operations firsthand. In addition, you will have lab experiences focused on geographical information systems.
- Engage in immersive case study simulations where you will practice the application of sustainable technologies across diverse sectors including energy, government, manufacturing, agriculture, and alternative energies, with a focus on the development of your project management skill set.
- Completion of a capstone project will allow you to demonstrate your cumulative skills in the program, where you may be matched with partner organizations, such as the Office of Sustainability.
- Complete a 420 hour Mandatory Degree Work Experience in the field of sustainability.
- In the final year, you will lead an applied research project tailored to your interests in sustainability and/or climate action, allowing you to explore real-world challenges and contribute to innovative solutions in the field.

Mandatory Degree Work Experience
A work experience that includes at least one term in a formal work environment. In most cases the work experience is a paid position that is completed in-between two academic semesters and requires a minimum of 420 hours of work. Students must be in good standing and meet all identified requirements prior to participating in the work experience. The successful completion of the work experience is required for graduation.

Program Learning Outcomes, often referred to as ‘Program Standards', set out the essential learning that a student must achieve before being deemed ready to graduate.
