April 2022- In response to the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) decision to allow students to study prior to formal visa approval, Mohawk College will allow students to register from their home country and begin virtual classes in Summer 2022 pending visa approval from IRCC. This opportunity is only available for students whose programs are being delivered in a fully online format. For information on Program Delivery, students should visit the Summer 2022 Program Delivery webpage.
Students submitting an application to study pending visa approval will need to submit their Letter of Submission from IRCC or confirmation of their Approval in Principle (AIP) through the online request form sent to all students. This form acknowledges their understanding of the terms and conditions associated with their registration. Following the submission students will receive details on how to register and select their timetable.
There is no guarantee that a student will receive their full visa approval. Students should refer to their acknowledgment for specific refund information. Should you require an additional copy of the refund policy, or have any questions regarding it and/or withdrawing please contact the International Student Services Team.
Students studying pending visa approval have 5 business days to notify Mohawk College of any decision by IRCC, whether approved or denied. Students who receive a visa denial and decide to reapply, can remain in classes during the reapplication process but must indicate this to the International Student Services team.
